Lunchtime Mindfulness
With Big Bear Retreat Center

Wednesdays @ 12-1pm PST

We have a spot for you! 

Our weekly community drop-in was created to support you in nurturing your practice after your meditation retreat ends, as well as connect you with a heart-based community of Big Bear Retreat Center mindfulness practitioners.  Each week we will gather from all over the globe to practice together. A teacher or staff member will lead you in a guided meditation practice, followed by a short talk, and there will be an opportunity to share in group discussion. All meetings will be recorded and available for later viewing.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is a set of highly effective, proven tools to strengthen the mind and bring greater happiness to life. It is not a religion, though many traditions use the practice.

Mindfulness practices offer opportunities for deepened, focused, and extended self awareness under the guidance of expert teachers. A “momentum of mindfulness” in stillness, silence, or sound, sitting with everything as it arises.

People have been using meditation for thousands of years to bring their lives into balance, to ease suffering, to discover happiness, and to live more compassionately.

Meditation has been scientifically proven to; improve overall physical, mental, and emotional health, decrease stress, alleviate anxiety and depression, manage chronic pain, improve sleep, and that’s just the beginning…
