Host A Retreat

Host your next group retreat at Big Bear Retreat Center. We host a variety of groups and organizations that are dedicated to healing in nature. Whether it’s a training, team gathering, or convening of leaders, consider BBRC as your next retreat destination.

Retreats In Nature,
Gathered in Community.

Nestled within the ancient Juniper and Pine woodland. Our center and land are perfect for reconnecting with nature. Only 2 hours from Los Angeles, we are a residential retreat center space of respite and calm.

Group Bookings

We work with a variety of mission-aligned organizations to host their retreats in nature. These vary from training programs, immersive retreats for community members or programs, team gatherings and multi-stakeholder convenings. A focus on mission, accessibility, and belonging are important to us. If you’re not sure, we invite you to submit an inquiry form to host your retreat with us. We’re happy to have a conversation and share more!

We can generally accommodate up to 50-70 guests. We’ll discuss to help you determine if your group is a good fit for our capacity. This generally depends on lodging and programmatic needs.

Food greatly nourishes the work of healing and restoration, designed for inclusivity and community.

Our organic, and seasonally inspired menus, feature fresh and local ingredients. Our indoor and outdoor dining hall is open 24/7 with self-service coffee, tea and healthy snack options.

Our meals options are primarily vegetarian. However, we offer options for groups on meat and menu adjustments to support what is restorative, healing and a sense of grounding for the communities you are working with. Let’s discuss more if this is supportive to your group.

Our Base Rate for hosting a retreat is $190 per person, per night. We have a minimum of 25 total (or the financial equivalent) to rent at the center. We can sometimes accommodate smaller groups as a shared campus, but this is not always possible.

We have additional costs for extra services including extra meals, and menu add ons.

Financial accessibility is important to us. We also offer options for more accessible pricing for mission-aligned nonprofits with limited budgets as well as options to pay-it-forward to support our accessibility. Let’s discuss more if budget is an issue or you’d like to contribute towards our accessible and scholarship programming.

Our rates include:

    • Comfortable accommodations in serene, nature-inspired cabins.
    • Delicious, freshly prepared meals. Included in the rates are dinner on arrival through to breakfast on departure with 3 meals a day on full days.
    • Full access to on-site amenities, including meeting spaces and forest trails.
    • Light staff support to ensure your retreat runs smoothly. Our staff mainly supports your meals and accommodations during your stay. We’ll offer light support to help you plan your retreat, and primarily help you get set up on arrival with the amenities. Not included is programmatic regular support.

The best way to reach us and to request to book a retreat and discuss more, please submit this form and we’ll be in touch. You may also reach us at info@bigbearretreatcenter.org

Meeting Spaces

Our Gathering Spaces are spaciously designed to provide an atmosphere that feels deeply integrated with nature and the surrounding forest.

We offer two versatile spaces that are conducive for meditation, movement, workshops, trainings, and other community gatherings. Both have capacity of fitting up to 45-70 depending on the type of programming. Both also offer outdoor wrap around decks in nature.

We also offer additional spaces to gather and for programming. This includes outdoor spaces with popup tents and chairs, decks outside of buildings, the dining hall and spaces along the trails and campus.

We’re happy to talk more about your groups needs for convening and connecting.

  • Our stay at BBRC was exactly what we needed as an organization: restorative, productive, and fun! As a result of our stay with you we feel more aligned and bonded as a team. The center itself was beautiful and functional. The cabins were nicely equipped and all of us felt very comfortable and at home. The BBRC team could not have been more gracious. Thank you for creating a space for us that has strengthened our relationships and catalyzed a fresh energy with which we are approaching our work. I can't tell you how much your support means to us. • Big Bear Retreat Center is a centering, calm, and majestic place to stay. As a team who hadn't met one another in person due to COVID, this one of a kind property and lack of distractions gave space for us to bond as a team and understand one another wholly. The team, food, accommodations, and cabins were perfect and we encourage any person or team to experience this beautiful space! (2022)
