Join Dr. Eve Ekman, a renowned expert in emotion awareness, for an insightful session blending ancient wisdom and contemporary science. She’ll share reflections and guided meditation to support the development of our emotional language.
Emotions shape our world, yet they’re invisible forces. They color our experiences, from the fantastic to the dreadful, shaping our perception of self and surroundings. When frustration hits, the world annoys; in sorrow, it feels cold. Thousands of years of contemplative practice and modern science can guide us in understanding and befriending our emotions. Enhancing our emotional vocabulary empowers us to navigate these states. Recognizing the embodied imprint of worry, despair, or joy within our bodies helps regulate and liberate emotions naturally.
About Cultivating Emotional Balance
CEB was inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and developed with eminent psychologist Dr Paul Ekman, Tibetan Teacher Lama Alan Wallace and second generation emotion teacher Dr Eve Ekman. Using insights and methods drawn from both Western psychology and Tibetan Buddhist contemplative practices, CEB asks us to investigate our inner life in order to improve out outer life and build emotional awareness, intelligence and resilience.
This class is taught by emotional researcher, meditation teacher and senior CEB teacher Dr. Eve Ekman.
